Dr. Marcia Anderson from the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences has been named as one of Canada’s Most Powerful Women in 2018 by Women’s Executive Network. Dr. Anderson is  a Cree-Saulteaux women with roots in Norway House Cree Nation and Peguis First Nation. As an Indigenous woman she has contributed to improving  Indigenous health through lobbying, researching and advocacy. Dr. Anderson shares her knowledge regarding illnesses that plagues Indigenous people in Canada and other countries. She offers scientific data pertaining to the reasons and the solutions that are needed to bring change.
